Basil, Ocimum basilicum is a herb native to the tropical regions of central Africa and Southeast Asia.

Basil may reach up to 150 cm in height and its leaves are green and ovate. The leaves can grow up to 11 cm in length and up to 6 cm wide. Its flowers are small and white in color.
